Ducklings Care Diary Ducklings Care Diary Landing Page

Problem: Sending home classroom reports on paper can create quite a hassle. Papers are lost, misplaced, or misfiled, and it's difficult to spot trends in student learning.

Goal: Ducklings Care Diary seeks to centralize student data, making teachers' and parents' lives easier. By allowing parents secure access to view their student's reports in their diary, teachers and parents can closely monitor young students' health and progress with ease.

Technologies: React, HTML, CSS, Mocha/Chai/Jest, Node, Express, PostgreSQL, Heroku/Now CLI, and Zeit.

Role: I designed, prototyped, and built Ducklings Care Diary independently.

Activities Assistant Activities Assistant activity list

Problem: Managing a variety of enrichment programs and choosing the best activities for your child can be a daunting task. How can coordinators stay organized among such a large variety of vendors and schedules? And how can parents reliably choose activities they know will be worthwhile?

Goal: With Activities Assistant, you can forget about mailing lists or paging through stacks of fliers. We make it easy to advertise your activities to your community, giving everyone a one-stop-shop to find just the right enrichment for their little ones. As an activity coordinator, you can register for an account and add all of your activity information to your organization's Activity List. As a member of the community interested in attending activities, you can view the activities offered by your organization(s) of interest.

Technologies: React, HTML, CSS, Node, Express, PostgreSQL, Mocha/Chai/Jest, Heroku/Now CLI, and Zeit.

Role: I designed, prototyped, and built Activities Assistant independently.

Meet the Music Meet the Music Landing Page

Problem: I love live music, but when I'm looking for concerts to attend, I have to check several listings to find concert events in a given location, and then I usually end up opening another program or more tabs trying to listen to an artist to decide if I would enjoy their performance. How can we streamline the process of discovering great live music?

Goal: Meet the Music makes it easier than ever to find great live music, no matter where life takes you. Enter the information for where you're going and when. Get back a list of concert events to attend, and listen to samples of each artist alongside your results to discover the artist you want to see next.

Technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.

Role: I designed, prototyped, and built Meet the Music independently.
